US SkyWatch Airborne Surveillance System’s
began when a small group of professionals with
a mutual interest in lighter-than-air (LTA) vehicles got together
to explore applications for the telecommunications industry. The
group was granted nine separate patents pertaining to airborne platforms.
While retaining their original interests, the events of 9-11
caused a re-focus on LTA platforms at altitudes of 5,000 feet and
below. These platforms (either aerostats or airships) house state-of-the-art
sensor suites for persistent monitoring of large areas of the earth’s
surface for programmed activities. A high-speed super computer processes
the data, and delivers information to the ground for further action.
The company is dedicated to producing a product, designated the
EAGLE-300, for the verification of predicted system capabilities.
